International Yoga Day

 Yoga is a form of exercise that incorporates breathing exercises, meditation, and relaxation methods. Yoga, which has its roots in historic India, is becoming increasingly well-known and on international yoga day let’s get to know about yoga better.

The Sanskrit word "yuj," which means to connect or merge, is where the word "yoga" originated. "Asanas," or physical poses, are frequently connected to yoga and assist people to become more flexible, strong, and balanced. But yoga is more than just a physical practice. The harmony and balance of the mind, body, and soul are its main goals.

In addition to its physical advantages, yoga is proven to enhance general well-being. It can aid in lowering stress, enhancing mindfulness, and enhancing mental clarity. Yoga is regarded by many as a fantastic method for relieving stress and controlling anxiety.

Yoga comes in a variety of forms, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Bikram, and others. Every style is distinct in its approach and concentrates on various facets of the practice. Everyone can benefit from yoga, whether they like a vigorous flow or a calm stretch.



There are numerous internet resources and classes available to help you start if you're a novice and want to give it a try. Simply spread out your mat, take a deep breath, and start practising yoga. Keep in mind that the process and the connection it creates between your mind and body are more important than doing the poses perfectly. So give it a shot and reap the rewards of this conventional practice!

How long have you been practising yoga?

I am practising yoga since 2011.


How did you get started?

My husband had stress and pressure problem due to his work so Doctor recommended doing yoga that's how I came into yoga.


What type of yoga do you teach? (please explain)

I teach different types of Yoga to different people according to their requirements. I also run a weight management program with yoga and a yogic diet.



What do you prefer/enjoy about this particular form of yoga?

Practising and teaching yoga gives me great pleasure. I specifically enjoy practising Suryanamaskar. It has benefited me very much.


Do you feel anyone can enjoy and gain from yoga?

Of course yoga has changed my life and it can change the life of all who believe in yoga.


What has yoga done for you as a person?

Yoga has done so many positive things for me. I have met so many positive people through yoga. My knowledge has increased because of Yoga and I feel very happy after doing yoga.




Do you believe it is an alternative form of healing and medicine

Yes, I do believe yoga as an alternative form of healing.


Is yoga a way of life or a way to exercise and meditate?

Yoga is a way of life for me.


What do you think of famous people, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna, getting into yoga? Is it good for yoga or does it make it a fad?

Famous people getting into yoga is a good thing because if some famous people practice yoga then their fans will follow them. Yoga is getting promoted it's going to be great.
